I lost 10 kilos (22 pounds) in two months and kept it off.

After losing 10 kilos (22 pounds) in two months, I started deliberating on how I could maintain the mind-blowing changes in my body to keep the weight off for good.

As I mentioned in the last blog, I was not on any diet.  I simply gave my digestive system a long enough interval between meals or any kind of eating.  I did not eat anything for at least 5~6 hours after a meal.  I drank water and tea, but not any sugary drinks.  If you eat before your body has a chance to use up all the energy you intake, the excess energy (you can call this FAT) is stored in adipose tissue (FAT tissue) all around your body!

Simply put, if you eat too soon after the last meal, you’ll become fat!

I did a little more so that I could maintain my weight.  In addition to my “fasting”, I avoided fatty food, and I ate more vegetables, as much as I could.  I ended up cooking Japanese food much of the time. Japanese food does not contain as much oil as Western style food; it uses a wide variety of vegetables in its various ways of cooking.  This worked.

Also, a 10 minute exercise in the morning and another in the evening became my routine.  Youtube aerobics videos and my own style of stretch yoga were two favorites.   Walking my kitty at night was another wonderful way to give my body a chance to burn energy from dinner.  (Kitties will walk on a leash, too!)

Those three are the secret.  5 ~6 hours of “fasting”, 20 minutes of exercise a day, and Japanese food.  If you try these and let me know how it works.
